- and that’s where you come in.
As a Payroll Implementation Advisor , you’ll help new Canadian clients set up their payroll with FMP Canada. This is not a payroll processing job
- it’s about implementation, configuration, and compliance .
You’ll work directly with clients to:
- Gather and validate payroll data
- Configure payroll systems to meet Canadian legislative requirements
- Support testing and first live runs
- Deliver training and guidance so clients feel confident and supported from day one
You’ll use your Canadian payroll knowledge , attention to detail , and system experience to make sure every setup runs smoothly and meets all compliance standards.
This role can be based anywhere in Ontario, Canada, with a planned start date of November 2025.

👥 About the Team You'll Join
- Our Implementation Team bridges the gap between Sales and Operations.
- We’re the people who make sure every new client is set up for success before their first payroll run.
- You’ll work with a collaborative team who value accuracy, teamwork, and doing things the right way.
📊 What You'll Be Doing
- Be the main point of contact for new clients during onboarding
- Collect, review, and upload company and employee data into payroll systems
- Configure payrolls for compliance with federal and provincial rules
- Guide clients through system testing and first live payroll runs
- Provide clear training and advice on payroll processes and reports
- Troubleshoot any issues and find practical solutions
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure a smooth handover to ongoing service
- Support with year-end setup and testing (T4s, RL-1s, ROEs)
🔎 What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s confident working with both Canadian payroll systems and legislation .
You’ll need:
- Experience in payroll implementation (setting up systems, not processing payrolls)
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll compliance and legislation , including multi-province experience
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Dayforce, Ceridian, or similar)
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification, or currently working towards it
- Strong data management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook .
