The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team at our corporate office. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting the accounts payable function by ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently.
Working within a collaborative and supportive team environment, you will contribute to maintaining strong financial controls while ensuring timely payments and smooth accounting operations.
Your Responsibilities
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will:
Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding
Ensure invoices are approved and processed in accordance with company policies
Perform various reconciliation, including but not limited to GRIR reconciliation, interface reconciliation, AP open balance reconciliation
Prepare and process vendor payments in a timely manner
Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and supporting documentation
Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong vendor relationships
Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis as required
Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
Provide administrative support to the accounting team
Perform other related tasks and ad hoc requests as required
Qualifications
Univeristy degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or accounting (asset)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting systems
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Language Requirements
Advanced proficiency in English
French (spoken and written) is considered an asset
