Responsibilities When your actions lead to success:
- Responsible for doing all set up and filling the Quality Control Check Sheet;
- Responsible for removing all tools and materials off the machine;
- Check the print quality, repeat length and key chart of a printed web before and after lamination
- Fill all the paperwork for each job being run and fill in all information required for that run (e.g. production report and QC sheet).
- Responsible for keeping all rollers clean at all times, also the anilox roller must be cleaned before using new adhesive;
- Responsible for cleaning adhesive drums when using different adhesive and flush the pump system;
- Responsible for checking doctor blade if it’s worn out or needs to be changed;
- Responsible for checking gauge of film, the treated side, the coated side/ metalized side, sealing side and printed side of each material before lamination;
- Responsible for maintaining high efficiency while producing a high quality product based on customer specifications;
- Continuously check all running conditions of the machine and the job being laminated and record it on the process control form;
- Responsible for checking the saran, acrylic or metalized coating of each roll after a mill splice;
- Make sure that all information for an order is recorded properly and accurately on paperwork, roll tickets and on the laminated rolls;
- Responsible to scan all the in/out rolls in iRen system and to make sure that the Production Report is accurate;
- Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining a safe work area at all times, this includes the machine, work table and work station and, also completing the housekeeping checklist;
- Perform all duties as outlined in the job description and any other duties that may be assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications When your expertise drives us:
- Grade 12 High School Diploma
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as Laminator Helper;
- Minimum of two (2) years relevant production/manufacturing experience;
- Knowledge of laminating;
- Ability to work independently;
- Enthusiastic self-starter with a desire to learn new skills;
- Ability to multi task with a strong attention to detail;
- High energy level, positive attitude and able to work effectively with other departments;
- Leads by example, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively;
- Ability to take and provide clear direction.
