About the role

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Vice President, People & Culture on a permanent basis to be part of our Senior Leadership team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and will be based at our Home Office located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

What you’ll do:

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to the strategic direction and leadership of Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL), its subsidiaries and related companies (the “Enterprise”).

  • Provide strategic leadership as part of the Senior Leadership Team, shaping direction for FCL and Local Co-op’s across the CRS.
  • Lead the People & Culture Business Unit to deliver strong value for FCL, local Co-ops and various CRS locations across Western Canada.
  • Champion FCL’s mission, vision, values, brand, and employee experience while fostering a positive, unified culture.
  • Oversee all People & Culture functions, including HR Inquiry & Operating Services, HR Functional Services, HR Business Partnering, and HR Communities of Expertise.
  • Guide strategic business planning, talent management, branding, goal setting, and risk management across the People & Culture portfolio.
  • Collaborate with all business units to strengthen enterprise-wide relationships with local stores.
  • Sponsor and lead major people-focused initiatives, driving innovation and continuous improvement in people practices.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate key enterprise risks, including labour, regulatory, governance, and operational alignment risks.

Who you are: You are looking for a career in Executive Leadership and:

  • You have a university degree in Human Resources or related field (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of related and progressive experience, with a minimum of 5 years at an Organization Leader level or equivalent (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
  • You’re honest, trustworthy, and results oriented and strive to be the best in what you do. You believe in collaboration, building relationships and value the perspectives of others.
