About the Role

MUBI is looking for a Distribution Director in Canada to play a crucial role getting films into cinemas, ensuring they reach the right audience. A Distribution Director holds a pivotal position in the film industry, overseeing the intricate process of bringing films to the Canadian market and maximizing their reach and impact. Their responsibilities encompass a wide array of strategic and logistical tasks.

Where you’ll have impact:

  • Strategizing Releases: Planning theatrical release schedules to maximize audience engagement. Create and implement strategies to maximize box office revenue.
  • Pitching to Exhibitors: Secure deals with theater chains and independent cinemas.
  • Managing Distribution Logistics: Overseeing the delivery of film materials to theaters and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Monitoring Performance: Tracking box office results and audience reception to adjust distribution strategies.
  • Industry Networking: Building relationships with filmmakers and exhibitors to expand distribution opportunities.
