Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) program.

Through the

AIT-approved Parts Technician Apprenticeship Program , you will:

  • Complete a three-year apprenticeship consisting of on-the-job training and technical classroom instruction.
  • Earn while you learn – receive a wage while gaining hours toward your journeyperson certification.
  • Build foundational knowledge in parts cataloging, warehousing systems, inventory management, and customer service.

  • Administers and provides trade knowledge as it relates to parts and components for both internal and external customers.
  • Manage and dispense parts inventory for Heavy Duty Equipment.
  • Provide assistance to internal and external customers, providing advice on required parts, companion parts, available specials and exposure to our full product line.
  • Handling incoming parts inquiries from internal and external customers via phone, email or in person.
  • Determining customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
  • Recommending alternate products based on cost, availability or specifications.
  • Accurately processing customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns.
  • Maintaining accurate records of discussions or correspondence with customers.
  • Performing weekly cycle counts as well as monthly and yearly inventory counts.
  • Apply core standards to returns; classify cores according to Liebherr programs.
  • Participate in the daily warehouse operations including shipping/receiving, warehouse stocking and management
  • Coordinate logistic support for interbranch and international orders
  • Interpret component and parts diagrams when troubleshooting parts requests and placing orders
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Competencies

  • You are currently or you will be registering for a Parts Technician program at a registered Trade School.
  • You are able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time
  • Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite
  • You are highly detail and process oriented with an affinity for order
  • You are comfortable interpreting graphical depictions and data lists in a mechanical environment
  • You are comfortable solving problems in a constant improvement environment
