Key Duties:
- Complete jobs using a variety of tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order and complete minor maintenance as required
- Load, unload and transport construction materials
- Manual labour including but not limited to shoveling, hand digging, raking
- Proficient fine/finish grading
- Measure distances from reference points to locate the boundaries of site
- Understand the issues involving ground disturbance and able to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment
- Participate in safety meetings and form completion on a regular basis
- Clean and pile salvaged materials
- Bulk and detailed excavations
- Able to read and understand blueprints and detail sections to determine and set grades
Requirements
- 5000+ hours of excavator, front loader and skid steer operation
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Must meet a minimum of 2 out of 3 of the following criteria:
- Experience Running Large Equipment (2500+ Hours)
- Fluent with all Small Equipment (2500+ Hours)
- Trades education an asset
- Skid Steer Loader Operator Certification an asset
- Excavator Certification an asset
- First Aid Certification an asset
- Heavy Trailer Endorsement (Learners)
Compensation Package:
- Hourly wage of $36-$42/hour based on experience
- Overtime available
- 4% Vacation Pay, paid out on every cheque
