We’re hiring an AV Maintenance Assistant to join our team at The Adventure Group, one of Whistler’s most iconic destinations for thrilling outdoor adventures.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Eager to learn and work with AV technologies, including projection, lighting, audio, and control systems.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve and understand signal flow.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather, including evenings and weekends.
  • Able to follow detailed instructions and maintain strict safety standards.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling.
  • Physically capable of lifting and safely moving AV equipment.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive, willing to take initiative on tasks.
  • Works well in a team environment and communicates clearly with supervisors.

Your Days Will Look Like

  • Assist the AV Team in running Vallea Lumina’s projection, lighting, audio, control, and networking systems.
  • Learn to operate AV control system through hands-on training and shadowing.
  • Support pre-show, in-show, and post-show equipment checks under guidance.
  • Help with basic troubleshooting and identification of issues.
  • Assist with seasonal installation, calibration, and de-installation of AV equipment.
  • Perform simple maintenance tasks such as cleaning lenses, organizing cables, and checking connections.
  • Follow all safety procedures when working with AV equipment.
  • Maintain good communication with the AV team and provide clear updates during shift handovers.
  • Cover operational shifts in the absence of AV team.
