About the role

Document Controls and Systems Analyst - Contract Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced Document Controls and Systems Analyst to join their team. This is a specialized role suited to an individual with strong technical aptitude in enterprise systems and automation. You will be responsible for improving how engineering information is stored, governed, integrated, and delivered across the organization. This includes significant SharePoint administration, Excel-driven analysis, workflow automation, and hands-on processing of engineering documents, while identifying opportunities for long-term efficiency. This is a contract role with a hybrid work model, requiring in-office collaboration, with Fridays worked remotely.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

  • Provide advanced document control support across projects, vendor data, turnover, and records
  • Configure and optimize SharePoint (metadata, permissions, workflows)
  • Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements
  • Support system integrations, upgrades, and data migrations
  • Perform data mapping, cleansing, validation, and Excel-based analysis
  • Deliver metrics, dashboards, and insights for leadership
  • Collaborate with engineering, drafting, records, and project teams
  • Communicate effectively with technical and executive stakeholders

Your strengths include:

  • 5+ years of engineering document control experience
  • Systems administration experience with advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in regulated environments and system migrations
  • Proactive, curious approach to technology, including AI
  • Strong, collaborative communication skills
  • Experience with Power Platform and Power BI is an asset
