Job Title: IT Support and Cloud Specialist Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, the IT Support and Cloud Specialist is responsible for delivering expert end-user support while actively administering key Microsoft 365 cloud services and maintaining the corporate cyber security posture.
This role requires a proactive and experienced specialist who is comfortable providing exceptional in-person support to our users at all levels of the business. The successful candidate will be the primary resource for desktop administration, endpoint management, and security management within our Microsoft cloud environment.
Responsibilities (including But Not Limited To)
- Desktop & End-User Support: Provide expert, patient, and professional in-office user support for hardware, software, video conferencing, and managed mobile devices (Tier 2/3) in a "customer service" focused manner
- External Helpdesk Primary point of Contact: Act as the primary technical liaison between Skeena and the external Managed Service Provider (MSP)/Helpdesk. This includes inclusion within the escalation queue to ensure timely and effective resolution of complex Tier 2/3, or time sensitive issues that the MSP cannot resolve.
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Perform day-to-day administration and maintenance of the corporate Microsoft 365 environment
- Device & Identity Management: Administer device provisioning, deployment, and compliance using Microsoft Intune, and manage user identities, access, and group policies within Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Cyber Security Maintenance: Maintain and monitor the corporate security posture by administering the Microsoft Defender suite, responding to alerts, and assisting with security incident triage.
- Infrastructure Support: Assist the IT team with the maintenance of on-prem infrastructure (vmware ESXi, AD, File/Print, SQL) and Fortinet network stack.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and update technical documentation, including support procedures and system inventories.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively pursue continuous improvement of systems and services to enhance performance and user experience.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 3+ years of professional, hands-on experience in a dedicated IT Support or Analyst role with a focus on cloud administration.
- Technical Proficiency: Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 (including Exchange Online), Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and the Microsoft Defender suite.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with third-party vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to achieve service level objectives.
- Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in a related field or relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, MS-900, AZ-900) is highly desirable
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and oral communication, ability to work independently, and a strong passion for customer service and continuous learning
Work Location & Conditions This is an office-based job, in Skeena’s Corporate office located in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Monday to Friday schedule. Additionally, the job is in a fast paced, and at times stressful working environment, with having to manage multiple competing priorities. Some flexibility in work location may be considered.

Compensation The expected salary range for this position is CA$70,000- CA$85,000 , in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.
