About the role

Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Remote location. Rural area. Relocation costs covered by employer. Budgetary responsibility: $1,500,001 - $4,000,000. Tasks: Assure community participation in programs for a school district. Evaluate teachers and support staff. Evaluate teaching methods and quality of instructions. Evaluate the academic affairs of a school district. Oversee the activities of teachers and support staff. Revise programs based on academic performance level . Recruit and hire teachers and other staff. Teach. Develop and administer programs for the education and training of students and adults. Direct or supervise the recruitment, training, evaluation and promotion of teachers. Evaluate the scope and sequence of the curriculum. Make recommendations concerning the annual operating budget of a school district. Co-ordinate teaching activities. Direct and co-ordinate school maintenance. Organize and maintain procedures for the keeping of records. Prepare and administer institution or program budget. Review programs to ensure conformance to school board or provincial standards. Supervision: More than 20 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Provincial teacher's certificate. Principal's certificate. Area of specialization: School principal.
