About the role

We are seeking a high-impact Strategic Transformation and Delivery Leader to join our global cybersecurity organization. In this pivotal role, you will act as a strategic enabler, supporting the CISO and Security Leadership Team (SLT) in shaping and executing our cybersecurity strategy. You will facilitate planning processes, manage cross-functional initiatives, and ensure strategic alignment across multiple technology teams, global security and business units. (S)He will bring leadership and vision in guiding business units and IT process owners towards continuous improvement.

Additionally, along with providing delivery strategies for Global Information Security, this individual will be the local security lead supporting the Wolters Kluwer Canada business units and act as a local Information Security Officer.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Strategic transformation and engagement lead with strong customer focus with an ability to influence outcomes, and a track record of managing large scale delivery excellence.

  • AI-focused IT Leader with a solid foundation in AI/ML technologies, ability to bridge AI theory with practical implementation in cloud and cybersecurity programs for Fortune 500 clients.

  • Leadership with proven success in managing large-scale programs in Cybersecurity, Cloud, and AI-driven initiatives and managing budgets while delivering and driving operational efficiencies.

  • Deep expertise in cybersecurity and compliance, developing strategies to aligned security controls and requirements to advance cloud security solutions and practices and to mitigate enterprise-level risks.

  • Strategic leadership in aligning cyber and cutting-edge technologies with business goals, fostering relationships and collaborating with C-level executives, and influencing high-performing cross-functional teams to execute complex transformation initiatives.

  • Improve and mature GIS service delivery capabilities and exceed financial and performance targets through service cost optimization, AI, and automation.

  • Lead innovative hub solutions, AI-powered automation, strategic programs, and top-tier customer satisfaction.

  • Technical proficiency in cloud platforms and AI/ML (Azure, AWS, GCP) with a focus on leveraging AI capabilities for automation, predictive insights, and enhanced decision-making in complex IT and security environments.

  • Support the Global Information Security team in creating and implementing the global security strategy and alignment with GBS IT stakeholders, business units, and partners.

  • Create and deliver compelling GIS presentations for WK executives, other senior leaders, and customers.

  • Manage and coordinate the information security technology risk assessments, operational vendor relationship management, development of product selections roadmap, and support vendor Contracts negotiation.

  • Work with division management to develop long term strategies, annual security plans with corresponding costs, and tactical plans to reduce IT risk.

  • Facilitate tracking and reporting of divisional and business units’ metrics, results, data modelling, processing, calculating and transformation into meaningful insights and reports.

  • Manage the development, maintenance, and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Effective in collaborating with C-level stakeholders, leading cross-functional teams, and translating complex technical solutions into business value, particularly in cloud migration and security initiatives.

  • Lead transformation programs across all divisions including global M&A-driven security initiatives and migrations.

    Required Experience

  • 10+ years of demonstrated progressive experience in IT, Program management, security risk management, compliance and/or change and transformation management.

  • 5+ years’ experience with shared services model, vendor and/or managed security services

  • 5+ years’ experience in management of enterprise-wide transition and transformation programs

  • 5+ years’ experience in service delivery management of enterprise-wide technology and/or security services

  • Experience with security governance and IT general control frameworks such as ISO2700x, HiTrust, Cobit, ITIL, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS etc.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive way to manage work.

  • Able to deliver with limited oversight and take accountability of actions.

  • Excellent presentation skills, both creating slides and delivering presentations to a variety of audiences.

Travel requirement and additional expectations

  • Minimum Travel required for this position is 25%
  • On occasions work during Weekends and Non-business Hours.
