About the Role
We are looking for an organized and proactive Production Scheduler to manage daily scheduling and workflow in our flexible packaging manufacturing facility in Aurora. This role is responsible for releasing and adjusting production schedules, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring on‑time delivery in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain daily production schedules across extrusion, printing, lamination, slitting, and converting
- Adjust schedules in real time based on machine availability, labor, materials, or production issues
- Communicate priorities and schedule updates to Production, Customer Service, and Logistics
- Coordinate material availability (films, inks, adhesives, components) before releasing jobs
- Track progress, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and support schedule recovery plans
- Maintain accurate data in the ERP/MRP system and update work orders
- Contribute to continuous improvement, lean processes, and workflow optimization
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or equivalent experience
- 1–3 years of production scheduling or manufacturing coordination experience
- Experience in flexible packaging or similar manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changes

- Strong communicator with the ability to coordinate multiple departments in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable and calm under pressure, especially during rapid schedule changes
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
- Proactive - anticipates issues before they impact customers

Physical Demands
- Role involves regular movement between production departments, requiring walking, standing, and periodic floor presence throughout the day
- Standing for extended periods during scheduling reviews, production meetings, and monitoring production progress
- Occasional light lifting (up to 10–20 lbs / 4.5–9 kg) such as sample rolls, production tickets, or related materials
- Frequent use of hands for computer work, preparing schedules, updating ERP systems, and handling production paperwork
- Occasional bending or reaching when inspecting materials or reviewing job setups on the production floor
