Job Title: Industrial Electrician (Mining Operations).
Location: Elk Valley, BC
Base Rate: $62.50 per hour.
Overtime (OT): $93.75 per hour for overtime (paid after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week)
Meal Allowance: $60 per day while not in camp
Accommodations: Shared housing provided at no cost to the employee.
Flights Paid: Employer covers flights to remote job sites from major Canadian airports
Tools Provided: All necessary tools supplied by the company
Travel Time: Paid at at 1 hour 1.5x if accommodations are not on-site, up to 8 hours at straight time at each end of your 2-week set

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician with a strong background in mining operations. The successful candidates will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components on these haul trucks and related mining equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on Komatsu 980E and 830E haul trucks, electric and hydraulic shovels, electric surface drills, and other related mining equipment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical issues to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to truck systems and components.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with mechanics and other trades to ensure seamless operation of equipment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
Requirements:
- Journeyman Electrician Certification.
- Red Seal certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience post-apprenticeship working as an industrial electrician, with specific experience in mining operations working with Komatsu 980E and 830E haul trucks, electric and hydraulic shovels, electric surface drills, and other related mining equipment.
- Komatsu dealership training preferred.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including confined spaces and heights.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing and repairing electrical systems.
All Successful Candidates Must:
- Be proficient in English, verbal and written.
- Have a valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Pass a Criminal Record check.
- Provide a clean 5-year driver's abstract.
- Pass an 8-panel drug test (including marijuana) and an alcohol breath test.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs. comfortably.
- Not seeking sub-contractor roles (we are not offering sub-contractor opportunities at this time).
