Nature of the work
The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in performing various technical tasks related to the management of human, development and implementation of standards and activities related to administrative operations of the International Student Program.
This class of employment includes highly specialized work characterized by the complexity, expertise, and autonomy required.
Description of tasks
CARACTERISTIC FUNCTIONS
SPECIFIC TO THE INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM
- Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of the International Student Program, the employee coordinates work tasks, ensuring that deadlines are met and making recommendations designed to improve the operations for which he or she is responsible.
- He or she carries out complex and specialized duties, including data entry related to the admissions of international students, and support in the application process of the international students.
- The employee deals with the international representatives of the program concerning the collection of fees or distribution of homestay payments, or any other matter within his or her competence.
- In the area of financial resources management, he or she prepares financial statements, makes accounting entries, prepares cheque requisitions, transfers, reconciliations, etc.
- He or she prepares reports intended for the organizations concerned and ensures the distribution.
- He or she uses a computer and the necessary software to perform his or her duties, including word processing, database entry, spreadsheets and other in-house programs.
OTHER TASKS RELATED TO THE CLASS OF EMPLOYMENT

He or she develops and adapts work methods and procedures and oversees their application in the context of the delivery of the current activities in certain sectors.

He or she works with others on the analysis of files and participates in developing standards.

He or she applies or adapts management techniques to the delivery of specific administrative activities and current operations.

If need be, he or she performs any other related duty.
Desired profile
Schooling
Meet one of the following profiles:

Hold a diploma of college studies in Techniques de l'administration générale(Business Administration) or in another appropriate technical program
-
Hold a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority
Experience and other requirements

Bilingual, French and English (oral and written).

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent analytical skills
-
Experience with immigration documents and procedures will be considered an asset.

Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly with Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Teams as well as the Google environment.

Good knowledge of GPI will be considered an asset.

Basic knowledge of accounting
The evaluation process for this position may include administrative tests.
