About the role
Helcim is searching for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our Design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving and evolving our payment product experience while taking ownership of the Helcim design system maintenance and evolution.
The Senior Product Designer will work within the Design team while collaborating with cross-functional business groups, including Product Managers, Front-end and Backend engineers, and Brand designers. The ideal candidate is passionate about design and technology, has extensive knowledge of constraints and opportunities, and can craft modern and delightful visual experiences that are informed by user research and AI-driven insights.
Are You Our Next Builder? 🛠️
- You have a minimum 6+ years experience working in the UX design field, with at least 2 years working with design systems
- An obsession for simplifying complex user experience flows.
- Great sensibility for design & aesthetics.
- You have a research mindset that aims to investigate the problem, leverage the right methods to uncover findings, and elaborate on solutions accordingly.
- Strong understanding of Lean and Agile approaches when researching and implementing solutions, with the ability to identify opportunities to leverage agentic automation throughout each phase of the UX process.
- Firm grasp of how to develop and work within design systems and patterns.
- Manage your time effectively by determining the right amount of time to invest in research activities and identifying which activities are best to inform your decisions.
- Always willing to take constructive criticism.
- Collaborative attitude that prioritizes teamwork over individual work.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, combined with strong interpersonal skills.
- Must provide a design portfolio showcasing UX design projects with beautiful hi-fi design mockups.
The Role: What You’ll Own 🔑

- Design with purpose utilizing both research and creativity.
- Execute high-quality product design that accounts for usability, aesthetic, and brand
- Maintain and evolve a scalable design system with clear governance, rigorous documentation, and continuous iteration—ensuring consistency, performance, and quality across every Helcim product experience.
- Leverage creative thinking to explore different solutions, concepts, and ideas continually.
- Employ AI solutions to research, ideation and execution to speed up the UX process
- Work side by side with Product Managers and engineers.
