About the role
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides proactive, exceptional support to a portfolio of locations, acting as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for all HR-related matters. This role partners closely with leaders and employees to deliver effective HR solutions, coach through complex people issues, and support organizational goals. The HRBP helps drive our commitment to our seven core values — including Sustainability (people, the planet, and profit) — in all planning and implementation. Permanent Full-Time (40 hours) Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (flexible); Hybrid Salary: $75,500 - $94,500 In this role, you will:
- Serve as the first point of contact for HR support, providing coaching and guidance to leaders and employees on HR policies, processes, programs, and systems.
- Lead employee relations activities, including conflict management, performance issues, attendance management, investigations, and termination processes.
- Support workforce planning, talent attraction, leadership hiring, onboarding, and succession planning activities.
- Participate in the development and implementation of HR programs, annual performance & wage reviews, job description updates, and organizational change initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze HR trends, identifying risks and opportunities and recommending improvements to enhance employee engagement, performance, and retention.
You have:
- A post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field, plus 5–8 years of HR Generalist experience (including at least 2 years in employee relations).
- Strong knowledge of HR laws, policies, and best practices, with proven experience resolving conflict and supporting leaders.
- Excellent planning, organization, communication, and active-listening skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using HRIS systems.
- CPHR designation (or current pursuit); experience in a manufacturing or unionized environment is an asset.
