About the role
Location: McArthur River
As a key member of the process team, you will be responsible for analysing daily water samples and following quality control and quality assurance procedures.
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with process operators, supervisors and metallurgists to support process operations, process troubleshooting and lab/field studies
- Complete data collection/analysis and environmental reporting while following QA/QC guidelines
- Be responsible for driving continuous improvement in the lab by streamlining data collection and analysis
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and perform preventative maintenance on lab instrumentation as needed
- Work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment
Required:
- Technical diploma in chemistry, metallurgy or processing
- Three to five years of relevant analytical lab experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
- Previous experience operating an ICP-MS
- Team player with excellent communication and organizational skills
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Recommended:
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment
- LIMS and SAP experience
