1.0 FTE Probationary JH/SH Humanities Teacher

Holy Redeemer Catholic High School in Edson, Alberta is seeking a Junior/Senior High

humanities teacher to join our 7-12 learning team starting the 2026-2027 school year.

This position will include Junior High Language Arts and Senior high language arts, the

grade level to be determined based on anticipated need for next year. The position will

also require the successful candidate to teach one elective course to be determined in

conjunction with administration.

Preference will be given to candidates with qualifications and experience in the following areas:

• Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Commitment to Catholic Education
• An enthusiastic and committed individual who is flexible and current in the best
• teaching practices for Junior and Senior High students.
• Experience working in inclusive environments
• Experience working in a fast-paced collaborative environment
• Familiar with the Science of Reading and Empowering Writers
• Experience with assistive technology
• Music and/or Art experience would be an asset
