About the role

Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO, www.youthhubs.ca) is a network of 32, Integrated Youth Services (IYS) hub networks that currently operate in 40 communities, where young people ages 12 to 25 years have walk-in access to youth-centered, community-based mental health and wellness services. YWHO engages youth, family members, service providers, and other partners through a co-creation process, enhancing the relevance, acceptability, and youth friendliness of services. The hubs are provincially consistent in core features and locally led and adapted to offer and connect to a range of evidence- based services—mental health care, substance use health services, primary care, education, employment, housing, peer support, family support and care navigation—in youth-friendly spaces. Outcomes are rigorously evaluated within and across hubs, focusing on positive outcomes in areas of wellness important to youth and their families.

Position Description

 

YWHO is seeking a full-time, permanent, Manager of Knowledge Mobilization &

Workforce Development to manage the YWHO’s training and education activities and initiatives, providing strategic and operational oversight in support of the overall strategic directions and system change goals. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Practice and Implementation, the Manager of Knowledge Mobilization & Workforce Development will manage staff within this portfolio; and liaise with YWHO and CAMH colleagues, and community leadership, service providers and youth and family advisors in order to represent the program’s training and education activities. This position will provide leadership and support to YWHO to ensure that the goals, objectives, and deliverables of training, education and community support initiatives are met.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues.

As a teaching hospital, CAMH provides education, training, internships and residencies for students. People training to work in the health care field, including psychiatrists, psychologists, pharmacists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers and laboratory technologists, come to CAMH for practical experience.
