About the role
The Bluewater Recycling Association, based in Huron Park (near Exeter), has an immediate opening for the position of Equipment Operator**.** Reporting to the MRF Manager, as an an Equipment Operator you will play a key role in the functioning of our Material Recovery Facility.

Main Duties:
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, skid steers, and forklifts to safely load hoppers, compactors, and outgoing transport trucks within the Material Recovery Facility (MRF).
- Operate and monitor recycling processing equipment such as balers and conveyor systems to ensure efficient material flow and safe facility operations.
- Perform manual sorting of recyclable materials on the processing line while maintaining quality control standards and contamination reduction targets.
Working Hours:
Monday-Friday 9:30am - 6:00pm. We work all statutory holidays, except for Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Physical Demands:
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent climbing in and out of loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Repetitive motions involving the hands, wrists, arms, and feet while operating equipment and performing sorting duties.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and operating heavy equipment.
- Exposure to noisy, dusty, hot, cold, and foul-smelling environments in an industrial recycling facility.
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery, conveyor systems, and mobile equipment.
