About the role
This is an entry level training leadership position.
- Required strong leadership, with knowledge of aviation ATW and or BTW procedures.
- Not looking for a member with an airline background (ie WestJet, Air Canada etc.) Ideal candidates will come with ground handling experience like the GAT environment.
- The ideal leadership style we are looking for is a blend of coaching / transformational, and situational leadership. The candidate needs to have a strong background in training, development and motivating staff. Setting a high standard with buy-in across the organization.
- He / she will report directly to the GM.
Responsibilities.
Training and onboarding
Plan and facilitate onboarding from new hire to OJT to fully qualified
Responsible for All BTW duties, ATW duties to include wheelchair, online training and proper appearance and customer service delivery.
Ensure all training materials are current, and all staff are always fully qualified
Compliance and Record Management
Maintain all training records and a local training matrix.
Track mandatory training i.e. AVOP, RAIC of new hires
Full internal auditing and liaison when station audits are conducted from outside auditors
OJT coaching and performance support
Constant monitoring of job performance via audits and coaching.
ID performance gaps getting ahead of poor standards of operations. Never settle for less
Communication with GM
Weekly reports to GM on Training delivered upcoming sessions, staff performance and trends, expired training.
Part of all management meetings
Always looking to improve current SOP’s
