Dismantle Technician – MacLeod Trail Toyota
MacLeod Trail Toyota is our newest acquistion in Calgary, formally Heninger Toyota.
We are currently looking for a Dismantle Technician to join our collision repair team! This role is ideal for a 3rd or 4th year Auto Body Apprentice who has hands-on experience in vehicle teardown and is eager to play a key role in the repair process. The Dismantle Technician is responsible for the safe and accurate disassembly of vehicles, identifying damage, documenting parts, and preparing vehicles for repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complete and thorough teardown of damaged vehicles
- Inspect vehicles for hidden damage and accurately document findings
- Tag, organize, and store removed parts for repair, replacement, or reinstallation
- Work closely with estimators to identify supplemental damage and parts requirements
- Assist with quality control of incoming parts and ensure they are matched and labeled properly
- Communicate effectively with parts, production, and body technicians
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and environmental guidelines
- Support reassembly process if required
- Follow all company procedures and manufacturer specifications
- Other duties as assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3rd or 4th year Auto Body Apprentice preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle construction
- Previous experience in collision repair or dismantling vehicles is an asset
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working in various positions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
