Join our team as a Manager of Reporting and Analysis and put your skills in the Microsoft Power Platform to work driving data-powered decisions. In this hands-on development role, you’ll translate business needs into innovative technical solutions, combining creative solutioning with a focus on making business processes more efficient. You’ll design and build intuitive Power BI dashboards, Power Apps, and other tools that automate manual processes, leverage AI, and turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. You’ll work closely with data warehouse sources to monitor performance, optimize analytics platforms, and continuously improve BI systems for maximum impact. Alongside the technical work, you’ll mentor and upskill junior team members, fostering Power Platform expertise across the team. From troubleshooting data models to delivering polished, high-quality reports, you’ll help drive smarter strategies, stronger teams, and transformative business outcomes.
Your initial key focus will be to support our Civil Construction teams in optimizing their existing and prototype solutions to optimize their front-end operations. As your knowledge of our business domain expands, your role will grow to help transform our entire business by working on transformational projects that are prioritized and sponsored by our executive leadership team.This exciting role offers you the opportunity to truly grow your career and make an impact.
Specific Responsibilities And Resulting Outcomes
- Lead and mentor junior analysts, providing technical guidance, task prioritization and quality assurance across multiple programs
- Govern and support a portfolio of Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate cloud flows, Power BI datasets and dashboards and embedded Power Apps
- Manage third-party vendors and cloud hosting platforms (e.g., Intermedia, Upwork), including billing oversight and issue escalation for business-critical systems
- Maintain and evolve Power BI assets by managing refresh schedules, fixing dataflows, updating gateways, and responding to user requests
- Build and maintain advanced Power Automate workflows integrating external platforms (Vitruvi, Smartsheet, Twilio, Salesforce, JIRA, etc.) using REST APIs
- Maintain and enhance a proprietary legacy system (Microsoft Access front end, SQL Server backend), including development of new SQL procedures and views
- Own engineering data integration processes into construction management systems and proprietary applications, ensuring proper formatting, validation, and delivery
- Administer department-owned SharePoint sites, managing structure, permissions, and embedded flows for document and task automation
- Liaise with client-side system owners to coordinate API integrations and digital tool alignment across platforms like JIRA, Salesforce, and Appian
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, supply chain, and PMO leadership to align technology with operational needs
- Participate in requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and rollout of new internal tools and solutions
Qualifications Knowledge & Experience
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in general science, computer science, business, or statistics; or equivalent working experience
- Experience leading teams and managing complex digital solutions
- Expert in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Dataverse)
- Skilled in SQL Server and API-based data integration
- Industry knowledge in telecommunications and construction is an asset
