Job Description & Requirements

  • Please note: term of employment is as stated above OR return of incumbent.

We are seeking a qualified teacher who must possess:

  • A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
  • A degree in Music Education.
  • A strong background in music and the ability to play piano and conduct choir.
  • A strong academic background.
  • Demonstrated ability to program and teach the Kindergarten to Grade 6 music program.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess:

  • Previous successful teaching experience at the middle years level.
  • A Master's Degree in education with specialization in Music Education.
  • Familiarity with the Orff and Kodaly methods.
