Make your mark for patients We are looking for a National Sales Manager (Ecosystem Lead) – Rare Disease to join our Canada Rare Disease Business Unit . This individual will lead the national sales team and will ideally be based out of Ontario, CA About The Role The Ecosystem Sales Lead (ESL) will lead and manage all aspects of the Commercial Field Force Team as it relates to the Canadian Rare Disease Organization (RDO).
Who You’ll Work With Internal stakeholders include the Business Unit Head, Field Sales Team, Medical, Market Access, Insights & Analytics, Marketing and PSP. External stakeholders include KOL’s, Specialists, HCPs, key IDN’s, Centers of Excellence, Patient Advocacy Groups.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Commercial Field Force Team which includes achieving/exceeding team sales performance goals, with ESL having the ultimate accountability for these sales results.
- Direct and lead the sales regions to increase demand and ensure access to our product line while staying within the approved budget.
- Execute a best-in-class stakeholder experience with stakeholders that ensures best-in-class experience when accessing UCB product and services.
- Develop, present and execute a comprehensive quarterly regional business plan, including analytics, aligned to the RDO strategic objectives. Align and cascade the plan to individual territories for implementation.
- Develop strong rapport and collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL’s) within respective Ecosystems/Regions.
- Translate the RDO brand and disease state strategies into clear, coherent and actionable direction that results in meeting and/or exceeding sales and profit goals withing their region for Field Teams within the Ecosystem.
- Identify ethical and innovative customer-oriented strategies to adapt to changing markets.
- Utilize dynamic targeting and omnichannel tools to maximize impact with accounts and HCP’s.
- Participate, collaborate and partner with internal stakeholders to gain insights, solve challenges and align on priorities.
- Take initiative and provide feedback when addressing issues, opportunities and challenges that pertain to meeting corporate goals and objectives.
- Ensue compliance with corporate policies and procedures and applicable legal standards and requirements.

- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ Years of progressive successful experience in Biotech Pharma Sales
- 8+ years in a Pharmaceutical or Biopharma Field Management Role (RSM, DSM, etc.), inclusive of 5+ years in a competitive specialty market segment
- Ability to travel 50% which may include overnight and weekend travel.
- Candidate must live near a major airport.
Preferred Skills
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in Rare Disease, Oncology, or similar
- Demonstrated field leadership experience/involvement in successful product launches
- Proficiency with digital business tools that translate into actionable strategies and successful product launches
- High level of competency in business analytics as it relates to it tracking launch performance at the national and territory level.
- Bilingual English/ French strongly preferred
