MINIMUM FORMAL EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • Ph.D. in a healthcare related field with five years directly related experience.

OR

  • Masters degree in a healthcare related field with seven years directly related experience.

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related field with nine years directly related experience.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a healthcare worker (medicine, nursing, rehabilitation sciences, paramedic, or related healthcare field), required.
  • Teaching, training, or facilitation experience in healthcare or simulation-based education, required.
  • Experience implementing simulation scenarios, required.
  • Demonstrated involvement in interdisciplinary or interprofessional practice, required.
  • Experience managing and leading staff, required.
  • Experience with a Standardized Patient Program, preferred.
    Experience in a virtual reality environment, preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, required.
  • Ability to translate clinical expertise into educational experiences, required.
  • Technical proficiency in simulation technologies, with an aptitude for learning new systems, required.
  • Organizational and time management abilities to coordinate multiple projects or simulation activities, required.
  • Problem solving skills in dynamic, technology driven environments, required.

OTHER JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Commitment to professional development in healthcare education and emerging simulation, required.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in rapidly evolving technological and educational environment, required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, required.
