The Opportunity
TruGreen Metal is growing across the Canadian prairies and with that comes opportunities for the right individuals to grow and advance within our company.
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to come on board as Fleet Support Assistant.
The full-time position will be based out of Olds, Alberta.
You will spend your time helping with shop and yard tasks like but not limited to:
- cleaning & washing all types of equipment in a heavy-duty mechanical shop atmosphere
- shunting trucks, trailers, and equipment when required
- making parts runs when required
- Occasional slip seat driving if needed in the field.
Qualifications & Experience
- Positive attitude
- Superior organizational skills
- Class 1A licence with clean abstract
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties. Able to lift 50lbs or more
- Heavy equipment experience is considered an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.
- Welding experience is considered an asset.
- High degree of respect for equipment and safe work practices.
- Take pride and accountability in your work.
- Motivated individual who proactively completes tasks.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- A team player who is willing to help when and where it is required.
- Able to adapt to change.
- Use problem solving skills while using good judgement.
This position requires candidates to
- Have and maintain a valid Class 1 drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening including drug and alcohol testing.
- Successfully complete a background check.
- Work Full Time Monday to Friday, and may be called upon to work occasional evenings and weekends.
