We are currently hiring a Contract Training Data Entry Administrator to join the EHS team at our Underground Salt Mine in Goderich, ON. This is an anticipated 6-month contract position.
Compass Minerals’ Goderich Salt Mine, located 1,800 feet under Lake Huron, is the largest underground salt mine in the world. The mine is as deep as the CN Tower in Toronto is tall. The rock salt produced at the mine is used to keep citizens in North America safe as they travel through winter snow and ice. The salt is shipped to hundreds of communities around the Great Lakes and along the St. Lawrence Seaway. Some of the salt is trucked to the Compass Minerals plant less than 4 kilometers away, to be packaged for distribution and sale at retailers in North America. The salt is also sold in bulk to manufacturers that make plastics, detergents, disinfectants and other important products. Goderich is named Canada’s Prettiest Town and is best known for its stunning sunsets. Goderich is a lakeside community of 8,000 people located approximately 1.5 hours from London and Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario.
How will you contribute to the team?
In this position, you will collaborate directly with key members of our team while working on health and safety and training projects and tasks.

Assist department with administrative tasks, such as updating records, scanning, ensuring proper records organization, integrity of information and process workflow.

Input historical training records into the new training database

Update training lesson plans and various training documents

Assist the department in implementing and executing the new training database

Ensure accurate mapping of courses, modules, and learning paths

Perform other job related duties, as required.
What should you bring to the role?

Completion of High School or GED
-
High level of attention to detail while providing accurate data aligned with departmental standards

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate reasoning

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

Has a self-starter attitude with a high level of motivation

Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas, working effectively with a team

Ability to receive coaching and a desire to enhance learning
What is the work schedule?

This is a Monday-Friday on-site position; working 8 hours per day.

This position may be expected to work underground or surface, as necessary.
