John Ross & Sons Ltd. is a fifth-generation, family-owned scrap metal recycler and the largest recycler in Atlantic Canada. With over 80 years in operation, we continue to modernize our operations and are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Processing Coordinator to join our team.
The Role
The Customer Processing Coordinator is responsible for accurate processing of customer and supplier invoices, contracts, and payments. This role works closely with Sales, Operations, and Accounting to ensure correct pricing, reporting, and timely payments in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Transactions & Processing
- Review and process payments ensuring correct pricing, locations, and tax treatment.
- Enter sales and purchase contracts as directed by Sales and Management.
- Prepare and process weekly and month-end payments, applying deductions, advances, and special pricing accurately.
- Email purchase invoices to suppliers and respond to customer payment requests.
- Prepare cheques with required job, location, and reference details.
- Support front counter operations and scale operations as required.
Accounts & Reporting
- Manage processing, spreadsheets, reporting, and payments for key accounts and major customers.
- Coordinate pricing with Sales.
- Prepare month-end reports and supporting documentation.
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to support high customer service standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in an administrative, processing, or customer service role; industrial or logistics experience an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volumes accurately.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Organized, dependable, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm; Rotational Saturdays, 7:00am–12:00pm
