Now Hiring: Leisure Coordinator
Location: Cherish at Central Park – Langford, BC
Job Type: Part-Time

Cherish at Central Park is seeking a Leisure Coordinator to create and deliver engaging, meaningful programs for our senior residents. This role focuses on planning activities, coordinating volunteers, and bringing joy to daily life through recreation, events, and community connection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate outings, events, and daily activities.
  • Create and distribute the monthly newsletter and event calendar.
  • Organize special events, including booking entertainment and vendors.
  • Support new resident orientation and the Welcome Home program.
  • Coordinate and supervise volunteers. Provide occasional front desk coverage and event ticket box office support.

Requirements:

  • Experience in recreation, hospitality, or event coordination preferred.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, email programs, social media). Warm, energetic, and resident-focused personality.

Job Type: Part-Time

Education:

  • Secondary School (required).

Experience:

  • Administrative assistant: 1 year (required).
  • Receptionist: 1 year (required).
  • Experience working with Seniors (Preferred).
  • Event Planning (Preferred).

Language:

  • English Fluency written and oral required.
