About The Opportunity
The Program Manager oversees the strategic growth and modernization of enterprise applications and ensures that work is prioritized in alignment with business objectives and resource availability. Providing clear and timely reporting on program status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes, they also develop and maintain program road maps, delivery plans, and milestone schedules.
Leading a team of business analysts who work with product owners and developers to document clear and detailed change requirements, the team is also responsible for ensuring that system changes are managed through effective governance and communication, in accordance with corporate customer satisfaction and risk management standards, as well as regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will
- Model and foster high standards of integrity and ethical behavior consistent with Canada Guaranty’s values.
- Actively promote cooperation and teamwork within the business unit and throughout the Company; promote trusting, collaborative relationships.
- Provide leadership to a team of professionals including the recruitment of capable, qualified people, training, development, coaching, ongoing employee communications, salary administration and performance management.
- Ensure that all staff have, and maintain, current knowledge of Canada Guaranty policies, procedures and guidelines including IT risk appetite framework, Code of Conduct, Security Policies, as well as regulatory requirements.
- Initiate, communicate and lead strategic change initiatives and engage others to commit to change to support the achievement of Canada Guaranty’s vision and goals.
- Facilitate technology connections with business partners to enable flow of data between Canada Guaranty and our customers.
- Ensure compliance with applicable privacy and legislative requirements and with the requirements of operating agreements.
- Drive customer satisfaction throughout the company and with partners, making changes to process and procedures as required to ensure the appropriate support is provided.
- Prepare regular operational reporting and status reports to the IT Management Team.
- Act as the primary point of contact for new initiatives identified by business units, coordinating the planning and prioritization of company initiatives; communicating status, risks and opportunities to management.
- Provide clear and timely management reporting on project status, identifying issues on projects in progress and develop action plans to minimize negative impacts.
- Compile project execution effectiveness data for use in performance measurement and process improvement.
Essential Qualifications
- Five or more years of formal project or program management experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in underwriting related technology applications.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Experience leading, managing and mentoring teams.
- Experience working with technology product development.
- Understanding of software engineering development life cycle.
- Ability to work in, and effectively adjust to, a rapidly changing environment.
- A strong sense of urgency about solving problems, meeting challenging deadlines and achieving critical goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post secondary education in computer science, engineering or business.
- PMP designation.
- Detailed knowledge of the mortgage and mortgage insurance industries (at least four years experience).

The salary range for this position ranges from $120,000 to $135,000. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, along with internal equity.
