What You’ll Do:
· Responsible for the investigation, detection, and apprehension of TJXC associates committing internal theft across distribution services.
· Assists Supply Chain Investigators with Inbound Investigations, involving vendor shortages at the TJXC Distribution Centers.
· Provides coaching and training to DCLP teams with Internal Investigation techniques and Dishonest Associate Case resolutions.
· Actively conducts random and targeted surveillance utilizing covert and overt CCTV.
· Establishes and maintains accurate, concise, and well documented case files pertaining to all active investigations, as well as preparing case files for use when testifying in arbitrations.
· Uses data and analytics generated through the Supply Chain Investigations (SCI) portal, internal theft trending and internal investigations reports to build evidence based and efficient case files.
· Conducts thorough, impartial, ethical investigations with appropriate urgency and diligence.
· Partners with DCLP, Supply Chain and LP Field to establish trends and initiate investigations.
· Supports the DCLP Awareness program and promotes the “Internal Tips Hotline.”
· Actively participates with Shrink Committee members and initiatives within the Distribution Services Network.
· Conducts interviews of Associates in accordance with Wicklander-Zulawski (WZ) and company’s standard methodologies.
About You:
· Minimum 3 years of proven experience with Internal Investigations in a Distribution Centre /Supply Chain or in Retail Stores.
· Must have or be eligible to be granted a Provincial Security License (depending on the situation, TJX Canada may train and provide licensing).
· Training and experience in Interviewing/Interrogation skills preferred.
· Must have valid driver's license and access to vehicle.
· Strong knowledge of Canadian Criminal Code related to relevant offences and rulings/decisions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including interviewing, negotiating, listening, conflict management, information gathering and coaching; with ability to influence business partners to help prioritize activities and resources to meet the organization needs, build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor; bilingualism (English/French) an asset.
· Strong investigative methodologies and experience with analytical and critical thinking skills to provide solutions; ability to leverage prior experience and adapt quickly to the changing work environment to make effective decisions; demonstrated flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing needs of the business and changing priorities.
· Knowledge of the global and national retail landscape and market trends to assist in the development of future strategies. Solid understanding of business tools and reports to make business recommendations.
· Strong problem-solving skills including analysis of information (i.e., requirements; description of problems); provide solutions with cost implications to effectively resolve issues and execute strategic solutions
