JOB DESCRIPTION
AAA Canada is looking for a Painter to bring expertise to our team. Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Painter is responsible for preparing, applying, and finishing paint on aircraft and their components, in compliance with quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan the work: prepare the area, materials, and equipment.
- Clean, sand, polish, and prepare surfaces prior to application.
- Mask and apply paint coatings according to specifications.
- Perform necessary touch-ups and ensure the quality of the finished product.
- Record completed work and maintain equipment.
Skills and qualifications
- AEP in Industrial Painting, DEP in Auto Body, DEC in Aerospace Painting, or equivalent accelerated training.
- Experience in industrial or aerospace painting (an asset).
- Attention to detail, precision, quick reflexes, and strong concentration skills.
- Ability to distinguish colors, finishes, and textures, and to notice finishing details.
- Strong visual skills to analyze drawings and surfaces.
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work at heights (lift platforms).
- Strict adherence to safety standards, procedures, and regulations.Bilingualism (French - English) in oral and written communication is a major asset for communication in the multilingual environment of the customer site and technical documentation.
