OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, Director of Strategy, this role is central to driving the development, implementation, and communication of the college’s strategic plan and ensuring strategic integration and awareness across the institution in collaboration with divisions across the college. You will support college-wide planning and reporting, manage emerging issues and opportunities, and lead key initiatives and projects that advance institutional priorities.
Bringing expertise in strategic, business, and operational planning—as well as performance measurement, research, options analysis, project coordination, facilitation, and event planning—you will work with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment where competing priorities, change, and uncertainty are part of the daily landscape. As part of a small but high-impact team, you will support critical relationships across all divisions of the college and with external partners, often working with sensitive and confidential information.
Success in this role requires a strong ability to listen, learn, interpret competing interests, and build meaningful connections. The ideal candidate excels in written and verbal communication; strategy, research, and performance measurement; interpersonal collaboration; project management; critical thinking and judgment; adaptability; and meticulous attention to detail.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Lead integration, renewal, communication, and reporting of the college’s strategic plan and supporting the alignment of strategies, budgets, business plans, and operational and personal performance plans across the institution.
- Support the communication of the college’s strategy, strategic direction and priorities across the college.
- Provide strategic and tactical advice to the Chief of Staff, Director of Strategy, and President & CEO, including targeted environmental scans and sector analysis to inform decision-making.
- Plan, organize and facilitate strategy sessions, and design and deliver high-quality performance reporting for executive leadership and the Board of Governors.
- Support Convocation planning and lead coordination of key institutional programs and events such as the Honorary Diploma Program, President’s Medal Selection Program, and Workforce Advisory Council operations.
- Lead college-wide coordination and responses to complex, cross-portfolio issues and requests, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and timely follow-through.
- Prepare executive briefings, presentations, speaking notes, and strategic documents that reflect comprehensive research, multiple perspectives, and clear recommendations.
- Oversee compliance and quality assurance processes for the President’s Office, including records management, legislative compliance, and business continuity participation
WHAT YOU BRING

Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., business or social sciences).

Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic planning, business/operational planning, research, statistics, and performance measurement.

Strong knowledge of the post-secondary sector and its strategic landscape.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).

Excellent communication, analytical, proofreading, and judgment skills, with the ability to manage sensitive information and operate in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

SALARY: $92,399 – $115,531 annually, reflective of your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
