Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to oversee daily operations at our retail location. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a proven track record in retail management. As the Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the store meets its sales goals while providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

• Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Manage daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and visual displays.
• Conduct employee orientation, training, and development programs to enhance team performance.
• Oversee recruitment processes including interviewing and hiring of new staff members.
• Handle payroll, bookkeeping, and budgeting tasks to ensure financial accountability.
• Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock levels.
• Utilize POS systems for transaction processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
• Develop marketing strategies to promote products and drive sales within the store.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as health and safety regulations.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with strong leadership capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving results through collaboration.
• Proficiency in inventory management practices and retail math principles.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Experience in recruiting, training & development, and employee orientation processes.
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and effective sales strategies.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is essential.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
