About the role
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the evaluation of project scope and contractual obligations and ensure they are met.
- Interact with customer and internal groups for clarification and approvals as required.
- Proactively manage project costs, schedule, and contract in conjunction with Operations/Fabrication, Accounting, Estimating and Planning groups.
- Monitor and report on project progress, status, and costs.
- Coordinate execution of commercial terms and conditions
- Identify when project milestones have been met for progress invoicing.
- Monitor project deliverables and ensure their completion.
- Ensure in-house or intra-company process design work or checks have been completed on schedule.
- Evaluate project specifications and ensure project specifications are distributed as needed and executed.
- Work proactively with Design and Operations/Fabrication to minimize rework.
- Ensure in-house or intra-company project engineering/drafting and instrumentation work is completed accurately and on schedule.
- Interact with Operations/Fabrication to resolve fabrication issues with Project Coordinator assistance.
- Provide Operations/Fabrication with regular updates of design status, drawings, BOMS and buyouts.
- Ensure shipping information is correct and communicated in a timely fashion.
- Ensure adequate cost recovery and schedule adjustments are obtained on all client requested changes.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will be well organized, and methodical.
- Experience in project management and /or manufacturing related field an asset.
- Strong planning and schedule focused on meeting project KPI deadlines.
- Strong computer skills are essential, Microsoft: Word, Excel,
- MS Projects experience is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently.
