Our modern office is ideally located near Victoria Square. We are currently seeking someone to fill the position of Electronics Technician who will report to the Director of Engineering. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering all hardware products from design to production to customer support. Your mission, if you accept it, lead the greenhouses technology revolution ! ​ Your day-to-day at Sollum: Collaborate with mechanical and electronic designers in the development of new products, from the initial concept to production. Support and motivate the team of electronics technicians, encouraging goal achievement and fostering innovation in practices. Conduct technological watch on best practices and innovations in electronics to continuously improve our processes and products. Design schematics and electronic boards, prepare and test prototypes in the laboratory. Write test plans, perform laboratory measurements, and diagnose defective product returns. Collaborate with software, production, sales, and operations teams to ensure product and process optimization. Contribute to the improvement and organization of the laboratory, as well as the optimization of existing product production. What you need to join our team: Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience as an Electronic Technician or equivalent. Electrical engineering techniques or equivalent. Proficiency in spoken and written French and English. Team management skills are an essential asset Experience with: Using laboratory equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.). Soldering electronic components (mainly SMT). Debugging and analyzing electronic boards. Circuit design with Altium Designer (an asset). Temperature measurement (an asset). Programming languages such as Python (an asset). Lighting product design (an asset). You are made for this position if: You are highly creative.
