About The Role This is more than a role - it’s a dynamic, high-impact leadership opportunity to be the driving force behind the strategic expansion of ATB’s mortgage services across the Calgary market.

As Senior Manager , you will be the ultimate champion for your team, building, mentoring, and empowering a high-performing cohort of dedicated Mortgage Specialists for breakthrough success through exceptional sales leadership. You will be the critical credit authority, going beyond coaching to ensure every transaction upholds ATB's rigorous credit policies and sound regulatory standards, safeguarding the bank and our clients.

Your core mandate is ambitious: to aggressively grow our residential mortgage portfolio. You will achieve this by strategically leveraging the Mortgage Specialist channel to forge powerful business relationships and cultivate a high-impact referral network that will dramatically expand ATB’s market footprint and drive significant revenue.

Accountabilities

  • Visionary Leadership and Coaching: Inspire, coach, and provide sales leadership to your dedicated Mortgage Specialist team. You will be a leader in the field, actively conducting joint visits with Realtors and Builder Sales professionals to model exceptional credit and sales expertise, providing the critical feedback necessary for continuous team growth and success.
  • Strategic Revenue Generation: Be the driving force behind our growth targets. You will not only generate significant revenue and surpass individual and team goals but also define, implement, and champion the strategic sales plans required to achieve our most ambitious organizational objectives.
  • High-Value Relationship Management: Take ownership of a strategic portfolio of high-value relationships within the mortgage industry. You will continuously analyze market trends and industry dynamics, leveraging these insights to proactively evolve and perfect the customer experience and every interaction.
  • Market Brand Ambassador: Elevate ATB's profile and presence across your market area. Actively engage as a key representative in essential business and community activities, forging a powerful local reputation for our brand.

  • Strategic Alliance Builder: You effortlessly cultivate and manage critical relationships with key internal partners (like Branch Managers and Senior Leaders) and external power players (Realtors, Residential Builders, and Mortgage Brokers) to expand ATB's influence.

  • Education & Experience:

  • Education: Post-Secondary degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent related experience is required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive financial services sales experience. Minimum of 5 years of consumer lending experience, with a distinct preference for direct experience in the Mortgage area of business. Experience in financial planning, territory management, credit, or mortgage industry is highly valued.

Workplace Arrangement

This position has a hybrid work arrangement. On average, this means 1 day on-site per week. Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.
