Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, this position is responsible for the efficient and effective analysis of financial processes related to the various activities of the company

Key Responsibilities

This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of processes and variance analysis related to taxes, preparing year-end packaging, Gross margin analysis, preparing the financial statements and Split P&L analysis for over 175 Pharmaprix. The Senior financial analyst will work closely with the Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, and other members of the organization.

Job Description

What you will do:

  • Prepare and analyze daily, weekly and periodic reports
  • You will be responsible for category forecasting models, maintenance and continuous improvement of models.
  • Identify key business performance drivers through structured analysis, effectively probe issues and causes, and collaborate with the team to develop solutions.
  • Manage various reporting requirements.
  • Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and relationships to support key critical initiatives as appropriate.
  • Participate in ad hoc and cross-functional projects and initiatives as appropriate.
  • Commit to promoting an inclusive and belonging workplace.
  • Participate in the full accounting cycle and supporting store administrators in their enquiries.

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or related field is required; experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly in the corporate and/or retail sector, will be considered an asset.

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to gather and manage interactions with employees across the organization.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations with tact.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple tasks with deadlines.

  • Results oriented - able to consistently deliver accurate results on time

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of tools, preferably Excel, World Microsoft 365.

  • Familiarity with SAP, VBA/Macro/Power BI and MicroStrategy is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • This role requires frequent and effective communication with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Quebec region, including customers, store staff, and regional teams, in English and French. Proficiency in both English and French is essential to ensure seamless operations, provide superior customer service
