Annual Salary: $96,486 to $107,270

Your responsibilities
-
Gather and analyze data, develop tools, and prepare documentation to support the manageable costs budget process.
-
Conduct cost/benefit financial impact analyses to support business decisions.
-
Analyze quarterly variances, forecast reports, and other data related to manageable and operational costs.

Maintain the fixed asset database, SAP master data, and investment income process, and perform various reconciliations.

Support the month-end closing process, including the preparation of internal financial statements.
Your****profile

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
-
Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of relevant experience.
-
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
-
Knowledge of the complete accounting cycle, year-end closing, and preparation of external auditor files.

Strong expertise in account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.

Advanced knowledge of costing, capital budgeting, and FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) budgeting.

Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, to effectively communicate with teams in Quebec and Ontario.

Ability to convey complex financial information in clear and simple terms.

Advanced proficiency in relevant computer applications and office software (Microsoft Office, SAP, etc.).

At the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation, you’re in the heart of the action!
The Great Lakes/Seaway System is a “marine highway” that extends some 3,700 km from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes. Ranked as one of the greatest engineering feats of the 20th century, the Seaway includes 13 Canadian locks and 2 U.S. locks connecting the lower St. Lawrence River to the Great Lakes. Together with our American counterpart, the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, we coordinate on a host of operational activities, ranging from traffic management to navigation aids and every other conceivable issue you might imagine would be important for a major waterway.
With a seaway system as vast and complex as ours, it takes professionals from many specializations to ensure that the passing of ships and their cargo are handled with efficiency and professionalism. Join us!

Le réseau Grands Lacs-Voie maritime est une « autoroute maritime » qui s’étend sur quelque 3700 km de l’océan Atlantique jusqu’aux Grands Lacs. La Voie maritime, considérée comme une des plus grandes prouesses d’ingénierie du 20e siècle, comprend 13 écluses canadiennes et 2 écluses américaines entre le bas du fleuve Saint-Laurent et les Grands Lacs. De concert avec notre homologue des États-Unis la Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation, nous coordonnons des activités opérationnelles dans un éventail de domaines, depuis la gestion du trafic jusqu’aux aides à la navigation et à tous les autres aspects imaginables que vous pourriez juger importants pour une grande voie navigable.
