The Role
Cameco is currently seeking a legal advisor to assist our team. As a member of the legal team, you will be responsible for providing legal support to Cameco, its subsidiaries, and joint ventures.
In this role, you will:
- Provide legal support and advice to the business that may include responsibilities in one or more of these areas:
- negotiate, draft, review and approve commercial agreements, with a focus on supply chain management procurement and construction contracts; and
- other corporate matters necessary to the business.
Required:
- a law degree and membership in, or be eligible for membership in, the Law Society of Saskatchewan;
- a minimum of three to eight years of post-bar call legal experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience (experience with procurement and construction contracts would be an asset);
- strong written and verbal negotiation and communication skills;
- collaborative, results-oriented with strong attention to detail, and the ability to identify legal risks and provide risk-adjusted advice and solutions;
- self-directed and motivated, handling various legal projects simultaneously; and
- willingness to travel, as required.

Salary Range: $99,710-$124,640
