About the Role
We are currently seeking a candidate with strong computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) capabilities using 3D software packages (such as AutoCAD®, Recap®, SolidWorks®, SpaceClaim®, Unreal Engine®) to participate in our design and modelling projects. The candidate is expected to be able to prepare detailed and accurate 3D models of hydraulic structures and facilities; following engineer's instructions, record drawings, or reverse-engineering from 3D scans. These models will be used to prepare fabrication drawings for scaled physical models, print using 3D printers, or as an input for hydraulic computer simulations.
Based in one of our British Columbia offices (Kamloops, Nanaimo, or North Vancouver), you are a self-motivated individual with a demonstrated ability of prioritizing multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines in a team environment. You exhibit a commitment to high quality, client service and excellent communication and organizational skills, and will use your skills to improve the quality and efficiency of our products.
Required Skills and Experience
· Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD
· Proficiency with at least one 3D modelling-oriented CAD package (SolidWorks, Catia, Solid Edge, Fusion, FreeCAD, ...)
· Experience in building and repairing 3D model geometries
Additional Preferred Qualifications
· Proficiency with SpaceClaim, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Autodesk Civil3D
· Experience with Point Cloud editing
· Experience with geometry preparation for 3D printing
· Experience with photogrammetry or lidar scanning
· Experience reverse engineering solid geometry from 3D scans
· Familiarity with hydraulic design and physical / CFD modelling is an asset

Salary
$70,000 – $80,000 per year (starting salary will depend on knowledge, skills, and experience).
