Could you be the full-time onsite Serial Testing Supervisor in Thunder Bay, ON, CA we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your testing and commissioning expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and results-driven teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful realization of project and product testing in alignment with testing procedures and delivery schedules. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Manufacturing, Industrial Quality, Production Line Management, and Engineering), manage an autonomous team of technicians to meet productivity targets, and oversee the planning and workload in the testing workshop, and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
- Ensuring that test technicians have a clear and exhaustive understanding of the Acceptance Criteria,
- Participating in the Hand Over process from Manufacturing,
- Managing the planning and workload in the testing workshop on a day-to-day basis,
- Ensuring tests are carried out according to the Testing Procedure and that results are properly recorded,
- Ensuring the availability of tools and spare parts required for testing activities,
- Reviewing and continuously improving operational activities to meet productivity targets,
- Consolidating and documenting Test Reports comprehensively,
- Managing interfaces and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including Industrial Quality, Production Line Manager, Manufacturing Manager, to achieve testing KPIs

Experience or understanding of Testing & Commissioning of electrical, control, onboard communications, and network systems within industrial manufacturing areas such as process industry, railways, or factory automation,

Knowledge of key electrical and/or mechanical processes, including earthing & bonding, cabling, protection, and instrumentation,

Strong leadership and communication skills,

Familiarity with high-risk activities associated with electrical work and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) requirements,

Ability to manage competencies and development plans for team members,
-
Problem-solving and efficient decision-making capabilities in complex environments.
