We are committed to fostering excellence, innovation, belonging and community in all that we do.

The Charles Chang Institute for Entrepreneurship is SFU’s hub for interdisciplinary entrepreneurship and innovation education, connecting students, faculty, and community partners through courses, programs, and co-curricular experiences that develop entrepreneurial thinking and action. Housed within the Beedie School of Business and serving all SFU faculties, the Institute leads the Education Pillar of SFU Innovates, advancing the university’s priorities in innovation, community impact, and student experience. Our team collaborates across campuses to expand access to entrepreneurship learning opportunities and pathways. We value creativity, integrity, and partnership in everything we do.

About the Role

This newly defined role will lead student recruitment and communications strategies for interdisciplinary entrepreneurship and innovation curriculum. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with the Academic Director, the Manager, Communications and Student Recruitment develops and implements targeted outreach to increase enrolment in the Charles Chang Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and related courses. The role engages students, faculty, and advisors across SFU through in-class presentations, digital campaigns, and collaborative storytelling to build awareness and drive class and certificate recruitment. A key member of a restructured leadership team, the Manager ensures cohesive messaging and alignment across curricular and co-curricular initiatives, working with academic advisors, faculty and student organizations to promote entrepreneurship learning pathways.

You are a strategic, relationship-driven communicator who combines creativity with strong planning and execution skills. Experienced in student recruitment or academic outreach, you understand how to turn awareness into enrolment through clear messaging and coordinated campaigns. A self-starter who works effectively across faculties and teams, you bring sound judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You take pride in delivering accurate, engaging communications that strengthen academic programs and expand student access to entrepreneurship education.
