The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As Program Manager, Personal Safety Division (PSD) for Western Canada you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Developing direct relationships thru Key Account engagement with Corporate/Enterprise Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and procurement stakeholders
- Gain pertinent Health & Safety workplace insights and procurement practices required to develop customized safety program solutions
- Build C-suite relationships with key H&S personnel across key accounts within multiple industry segments
- Map customer needs and safety challenges to relevant PSD solutions and value drivers through health and safety program development with key accounts
- Develop share gain proposals which result in successful enterprise-wide program implementations
- Quarterback program implementations in collaboration with key external team stakeholders (Corporate & Site Health & Safety personnel, Procurement & Channel) and drive critical path milestones to fruition
- Work collaboratively with 3M internal teams and facilitate resource alignment to optimally support end user through a multi-location program execution.
- Oversee managing the successful execution of key program implementations with segment customers
- Coach/mentor and train new safety specialist to help maximize key customer identification and salesforce pipeline growth to accelerate sales for the Personal Safety Division
- Manage the national relationships of key multi-national accounts that operate outside of Canada
- Special project engagement when applicable
Company Vehicle
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND ten (10) years of experience of outside sales, selling to strategic accounts or key accounts, and/or marketing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
OR
- High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution AND fifteen (15) years of experience of outside sales, selling to strategic accounts or key accounts, and/or marketing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Current, valid Driver’s License.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Demonstrated proficiency and successes representing the 3M Personal Safety Product portfolio
- Experience engaging with and influencing safety and industrial hygiene leaders of large enterprise organizations
- Experience working with Channel end-user National Accounts Managers
- Demonstrated success in competitive share gain strategy development and execution
- Strong team collaboration and networking skills
Work location:
- Work location: Remote, field based. Territory covers Western Canada.
Travel: May include up to 40% domestic
