Position Purpose Reporting to the eCommerce Digital Content Manager, the eCommerce Merchandising Specialist works closely within merchandising’s 360 teams to execute online merchandising projects. The Specialist is also responsible for achieving article onboarding metrics within their category and supporting the Online Merchant’s strategic business initiatives by contributing to projects related to: online article assortment, online article pricing, online promotions, and supplier engagement. The eCommerce Merchandising Specialist is responsible for supporting Online Merchants with driving centralized data support and identifying process efficiencies accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Deliver on expected operational SLAs and metrics like article onboarding cycle time and SKUs buyable rate
- Partner with relevant partners offshore and at the store support centre to effectively ensure prioritization and maintain standards and speed of onboarding articles
- Coordinate with vendors to quickly and properly onboard new vendors from start to finish. Ensure eComm Seller Buyer Agreements are completed and all other requirements are met to list product online
- Support website enhancements and online merchandising system issues – troubleshooting issues, identifying improvement opportunities, and testing enhancements
- Partner with Online Merchant/Online Assortment Planning/Data teams to close gaps in assortment and make recommendations for improvements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seasonal/event readiness reports, briefs, and strategy are supported. Participate in planning meetings and post mortems
- Drive sustainable process enhancements in partnership with your leader, merchant teams, and cross-functional partners
- Coordinate with retail and online merchant stakeholders to capture assortment lists for seasonal or promotional activities
- Support the team in updating training materials and identifying opportunities to drive value for your team and cross-functional business partners
Experience/Knowledge Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in retail, eCommerce, merchandising, or consulting/project management in a corporate environment
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, Tableau, and other Microsoft Office programs
- Strong investigative skills and intellectual curiosity
- Ability to learn quickly and independently
- Ability to manage multiple work streams while maintaining quality
- Strong communication and presentation skills
