A Day in the Life MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
- The purpose of the position is the development of long-term relationships with customers. Own, lead and contribute to the account blue sheet and strategic selling process. Liaise with Strategic Partnership Managers (SPM) and Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for account and customer development.
- Additional to the responsibilities of being a Senior Account Manager, be the Team Lead for technology implementation across the region. Assist the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) in achieving unit/revenue goals by providing regional leadership to the Account Managers and Clinical specialist teams to foster an environment of performance.
This position is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (may include the following and other duties may be assigned):
- Promotes and sells Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.
- Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services.
- Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services.
- Conducts market research including customers and competitors activities.
- Implements market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
- Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.
- Responsible for reporting complaints and Adverse Drug Reactions (ADR)
- Oversee implementation of Educational programs for new technology deployment, for both external and internal customers (Customers, Account Managers and Clinical Specialists) to a desired level
- Assess level of understanding of technology for Account Mgrs/CSs and customers
- Confirm level of competence and certification to an educational standard
- Provide ongoing technology education
- Provide uniform dissemination of information and clinical data
- Oversight of software updates
- Ensure customer readiness for new technology/product launches
- Expand remote patient management capabilities in each account
CAREER STREAM:
Typically sales professional individual contributors with direct sales responsibilities. May direct the work of other lower level sales professionals or manage sales processes and / or accounts involving multiple team members. The majority of time is spent establishing and maintaining customer relationships, developing new customer relationships, implementing sales strategies and closing sales.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through education combined with broad sales experience. Career-level sales representatives, who are fully qualified, experienced professionals. Requires a High School Diploma or GED AND a minimum of 8 years experience with a medical device pacing company (or 7 years with 2 years of prior healthcare or engineering experience) OR an Associate’s Degree/College Diploma AND a minimum of 6 years of experience with a medical device pacing company (or 5 years with 2 years of prior healthcare or engineering experience) OR Bachelor’s degree AND a minimum of 5 years of experience with a medical device pacing company (or 4 years with 2 years of prior healthcare or engineering experience).
Required Qualifications KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED, or;
- Associate’s Degree/College Diploma, or;
- Bachelors’ degree.

- Minimum 8 years of experience with a medical device pacing company (or 7 years with 2 years of prior healthcare or engineering experience), with a High School Diploma or GED, or;
- Minimum 6 years of experience with a medical device pacing company (or 5 years with 2 years of prior healthcare or engineering experience), with an Associate’s Degree/College Diploma, or;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a medical device pacing company (or 4 years with 2 years of prior healthcare or engineering experience), with a bachelor’s degree.
