St. Albert Public Schools is currently seeking a Music Teacher to join the team at Joseph M Demko School for the current school year. This position offers an opportunity to teach a stimulating and enriching music program that fosters creativity, musical literacy, and a love of music in students of all backgrounds and abilities.
More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.
FTE: 0.5581 FTE; Part-Time Temporary until June 30, 2026
Responsibilities:
- Teaching Division 1 & 2 Music
- Grade 6 & 7 Band
Qualifications and Attributes:

A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Formal education specific to Music Education (or related field) is an asset

Experience teaching music in an elementary school setting (preferred)

Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills

Commitment to a positive school culture & building community
