About the role:
The Deposit Administration Representative plays a key role in supporting Peoples Group’s deposit operations by performing a variety of administrative tasks related to account openings, deposit processing, reconciliations, and agent account management. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to service excellence and experience in financial services.
This is a 6-month contract position based in Toronto.
About the day-to-day:
- Accurately process new client account openings in compliance with Peoples Group policies and AML/KYC regulations.
- Handle registered and non-registered account applications and business account openings.
- Perform financial and non-financial account maintenance to meet client and business expectations.
- Respond to client inquiries related to account opening applications.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Peoples Group deposit products, services, and relevant legislation.
- Execute back-office functions including GL reconciliations, return items, wire transfers, and DNA postings.
- Manage agent-related tasks such as registrations, transactional postings, commission payments, and reporting.
- Ensure daily work is balanced and troubleshoot system-related issues raised by CSRs.
- Participate in upgrades to the DNA banking platform and contribute to process improvements.
- Perform general administrative duties including document scanning, uploading, and filing.
- Ensure coverage of responsibilities during absences and support team members in daily operations.
About the qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative and/or customer service role within financial services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong dispute resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with DNA Platform/Fiserv and/or PPLUS is an asset.
- Knowledge of AML/KYC compliance and privacy protection practices.

About the work environment:
Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Compensation:
Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $50,000 and $70,000 per year, depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
